June News....

- Today Bernhard and his bandmates of Granitarium are playing an "In Memoriam"-concert for Robert Haas in Gmünd.... see concerts section

- Bernhard, Alex Lausch, Claudius Vlasak and some others are finishing work on

the new album Made In Paradise. They work quasi around the clock to finish last guitar parts and do the mixing/mastering procedures in Lausch's studio in Vienna...

New Album News...

Have a look at the first CD cover idea for Bernhard's new solo ablum Made In Paradise:

Recordings continue till the end of June then the album will be mixed and masterd in summer. Presentation and a promotion tour in autumn.

Bernhard dissolves KNIGHTINGALE!!

Because of some upcoming personal changes withing the circle of musicians around Bernhard Zimmermann, the composer finishes his work with the band KNIGHTINGALE. "The band in this form  doesn't exist any longer, There will not be a stable, fixed band around my music in the future. There will be a band for the presentation of my new album Made In Paradise, but it will be like a real solo project with a band in the background. I will not again perform my music in a fixed band in the near future. The most important thing now is the finishing of Made In Paradise with its 9 (!) guest musicians" says the composer himself. Watch out for further news...............

First 2010 News...

Apart from recording and releasing his 2nd solo-album, Bernhard will not be very active on stage this year. There will be only few concert dates, which are not fixed yet.

As the composer says he "must be saving his energy for other things this year". What he exactly means by that, he didn't say.

But recording his new CD Made In Paradise continues. Be online for further news.... 

Drum Sessions for MADE IN PARADISE

Master-drummer and producer Claudius "Lupus" Vlasak is starting to record the drum tracks for Bernhard's new solo-album MADE IN PARADISE.

He will do this in his own homestudio. The first recorded drums sound AMAZING!!!

Some facts about Bernhard's upcoming 2nd solo album:

.) The title of the new album will definitely be MADE IN PARADISE (also the title of a song on the album)

.) Alexander Lausch will again do the mixing and mastering.

.) Many guest musicians appear on the album (also a children choir...)

.) Georg Ertl, the man behind the A New Dawning CD Cover, will again create the front cover and inlay graphics.

.) 2/3 of the album is finished, the songs below are the 12 tracks of the album (NOT the correct order on the CD....):

Daniela Sainitzer's Meridianliedergschichten is a CD by a young talented female singer/songwriter. Bernhard produced the album, played the keyboards and orchestrated one of the songs. have a look at the "discography" section. mp3 listening examples will follow....

First music from Bernhard's upcoming new soloalbum

After a very long time....

In the New Songs/Demos section you can exclusively listen to the first bit of music from Bernhard's upcoming 2nd solo album. The song SUZANNE is in fact a power ballad from a couple of years ago and is being "refreshed" for the new CD. This excerpt is a rough mix, so the final version could vary from what you hear... At the moment, Bernhard is working heavily on several songs for the album...

KNIGHTINGALE LIVE in Heidenreichstein 18.07.2009

Bernhard Zimmermann & Knightingale

will play a live performance on Saturday  July, 18th in Heidenreichstein

during the Burglauf event. The band will play songs from Bernhard's musical past and present, including many songs from A New Dawning and his former CDs.

New songs ... in the background of the other work...

Besides his work on the Meridianlieder-CD, Bernhard wrote two new songs called Queen Of The Night and Looking For A Free World, both being again very introvert and personal pieces. Not sure if one or both will be included on the upcaming album.

"A New Dawning" choir performance

At the end of June Bernhard's song A New Dawning (from the album of the same name of 2006) will be performed by a choir during a holy mass. The composer himself will be present and listening...

Bernhard Zimmermann is currently producing and recording a CD with some musicians for a esoteric song-cycle called "Mediteranlieder". Apart from his role as producer, Bernhard will contribute some piano tracks on these songs...

Hopefully, the "neverending" recordings on his new solo-album can continue in summer..........
